Japanese are known to have very short holidays. We have to admit that it is partly true. However, beside that, Japanese people have a lot of banking holidays throughout the year, like the Golden Week in May, during when they generally do trips like hiking, going to the beach, visiting relatives, etc. The next banking holiday in Japan is called Umi no Hi (Marine Day) on third Monday of July (July 19th this year) and you maybe guess that most Japanese will go to the beach during this week-end (more...)
